QuickSolvePlus (QSP) Guide for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
QSP is a system that helps track your schedule, clock in and out, and document services provided to individuals. This guide will help you understand how to use the system effectively.
1. Logging Into QSP
Use the QSClock app on your phone or log in through the web if needed.
Your employer will provide you with a username and password.
If you forget your password, click “Forgot Password” and follow the steps to reset it.
2. Checking Your Work Schedule
Open QSClock and go to "My Schedule" to see your upcoming shifts.
The schedule will show:
Client Name
Shift Start & End Time
Service Type (e.g., Personal Care, Community Outing, etc.)
Tap on a shift to see more details about what is expected for that shift.
If there are any changes or cancellations, you will be notified through the system.
3. Clocking In and Out
Clocking In:
Open the QSClock app when you arrive at your shift location.
Tap on the scheduled shift and press "Clock In".
If location tracking is required, make sure your phone's GPS is enabled.
Clocking Out:
When your shift is over, open the app, go to your shift, and press "Clock Out".
You may be asked to enter notes about your shift before completing the process.
Missed Clock-In or Clock-Out?
If you forget to clock in or out, you may need to ask a supervisor to fix it for you.
Some agencies allow you to request manual corrections in QSP.
4. Completing Service Notes
After a shift, you may need to enter service notes before clocking out.
These notes help document what support was provided to the individual.
What to include:
Activities completed during the shift (e.g., meal preparation, transportation, personal care)
Any issues or incidents (e.g., a fall, refusal of care, mood changes)
General observations (e.g., the client was in a good mood, had difficulty with a task)
Keep notes professional and factual. Avoid personal opinions.
5. Tracking Mileage for Reimbursement
If you drive as part of your job (e.g., taking a client to an appointment), you may be able to record mileage.
Open the shift details and look for the “Miles Driven” field.
Enter the total miles driven and save.
Check with your supervisor about the agency’s reimbursement policy.
6. Checking Client Care Plans and Training
QSP allows you to access important client information, such as:
Care Plans – Lists tasks and routines specific to the client.
Behavioral Guidelines – Explains how to handle behaviors or medical needs.
Training Materials – Your employer may upload training documents for you to review.
Always follow the care plan and ask a supervisor if you have questions.
7. Submitting Time Sheets
In some cases, your clock-ins and clock-outs act as your time sheet.
Check with your employer if you need to submit additional documentation.
If your hours look incorrect, report the issue to management before payroll is processed.
8. Handling Shift Issues
If You Are Late: Notify your supervisor immediately.
If You Need to Cancel a Shift: Follow your agency’s policy (usually requires advanced notice).
If a Client is Not Home: Contact your supervisor before leaving the location.
If an Emergency Happens: Follow the emergency procedures outlined by your employer.
